Today's Journal

The run this morning was a little longer than what I have been doing about an additional 10min. Again the route was through the hills. The conditions were hot and humid.

The Stats of todays run were:

Reflecting on the run its was hard yakka. With all the hills I focussed on working hard up the hills and recovering on the downhill and flats. For this longer run I added the extra 10 min before I got to the hills. This did effect my performance a little in that my legs were a little more fatigued than usual when I reached the Hills.

PM Session: Squad Swim Session...cool new venue!

The session include 600m warm up, some vertical kicking (OMG) then an aerobic pyramid set 300m/200m/100m by 2.

Reflecting on the Swim...I was a little dissapointed with my efforts tonight...I was feeling flat, the arms felt heavy...may have something to do with the core strength and flexibility sessions I have been doing lately. Lately I have ended up swallowing a fair bit of water during the session and therefore feeling a little unwell throughout the session...not sure why I have this habit of drinking pool water.......

Excuses...Excuses...no more...just got to work harder and smarter!!!!!!!!!
