Today's Journal



Squad ride this morning. We arrived at the AFL Club at 5.30am and we were off. There were 4 of us on the longer ride. Throughout the ride we were averaging approximately 30km/hr. The ride consisted of the airport loop then out through Nudgee/Sandgate.

I found the ride fairly comfortable. However, at times I did struggle and I believe this stemmed from not eating regularly enough. I need to remember to eat every 45min and drink every 15min even during training. The knee got a little irratating throughout the ride in particularly when I placed extra stresses on the leg...going up hills, getting out of the saddle etc. I find that just riding along the flat isn't that bad. By the end of the 3 hours I was really feeling hungry and the legs were relatively fatigued.

Rest of the day....involves very little...Massage tonight!
